Matthew Ronald Zobeck, Sr, of Westerville, Ohio, age 91, passed away on June 22, 2024. He was the beloved son of Matthew J. Zobeck and Irene Cook (Rogers). He is survived by his wife Deloris Zobeck, devoted sisters Mary Stone and Elizabeth Browne, son Terry (Sandra) Zobeck and granddaughter Kathryn Zobeck, 3 stepchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren. Matthew's son, Matthew R. Zobeck, Jr., and his brother, Charles Edward Zobeck, predeceased him. Matthew was born in Oswego, New York on June 26, 1932. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1949 and is a veteran of the Korean War. After the War, Matthew enrolled at the State University of New York Teachers College at Oswego where he graduated in 1957 with a degree in Industrial Arts. Matthew and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio upon accepting a position with the Cleveland Public School System.
