Gerald R. Varner, died on May 25, 2024, in his home in Delaware, Ohio. He was born to Carroll Wilbert Varner and Martha Mae (Melnick) Varner in Dover, Ohio on July 15, 1950. Gerry was educated at Dover High School and Miami University. He was employed in various positions including General Telephone Company and as a forensic videographer. He loved his pet Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, enjoyed telling stories to willing listeners, and was devoted to caring for his yard. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Colletta, both parents, an older brother Raymond "Rollie" Varner, as well as his paternal uncle and aunt Gerald Revilo Varner and Florine Ida (Murbach) Varner of Ashland, Ohio.
