Monty George Lamaze, 69, of Delaware passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3,2024 at the Delaware Court Health Care Center.
He was born March 14, 1955 in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Alexandria Senior High School in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Monty was a self-described geek and used his self-taught computer skills in his "day job". His first and greatest love though was music and playing the bass. His most cherished memories were of the connections and friendships he made in a lifetime of laying down the groove. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana and the Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Edward (Maura Manning) Lamaze of Prospect and Christopher George (Christy) Lamaze of Morris, Illinois; cousin, Kenneth George Jr. of Jena, Louisiana; nieces and nephews, Zoe', Zane, Zydeco, Zella, Zander, Geoffrey, Emily, and Chloe.
Monty was preceded in death by his parents George Edward and Billie Jo (George) Lamaze.
