1937-2024
Yvonne Roeger was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. At age 86, she passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024 while gardening, a favorite pastime. Her love and devotion touched the lives of all who met her. Often Yvonne's welcoming spark would turn any stranger into a close friend.
A Life Well-Lived
A beloved daughter of Joseph and Anna Gerich, Yvonne was born on December 26, 1937 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 1954 from Jeannette High School and attended Penn State University where she met her soon to be husband on a blind date.
Clarence (C.J.) Roeger and Yvonne were married March 2, 1957. During their 67 years of marriage, they had three children: Suzan, Lori, and David. She spent most of her life as a spectacular homemaker and later worked as an administrative assistant for the Upper Arlington School District.
In 1996 Yvonne retired and with her husband went on cruises all around the world. As "Maa
