Debra Denise Blake (McElroy), affectionately known as Debbie, passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 65 in Columbus, Ohio. Born on October 22, 1958, in Brunswick, Georgia, Debbie was a beacon of love and strength throughout her life.
Debbie was a devoted wife to Joseph Blake Sr for over 47 years and a cherished mother to Joseph II (Kathryn), Lisa, Michael (Michelle), and Michele Blake. She was also a loving grandmother to Abigail, Isabel, Noah, Taylor, Savannah, Rylee, Victoria, Sophia, Lauren (Lou), and Skyler. Her siblings, Kelley Adams, Larry McElroy, nephew Samuel Adams, preceded in death by her younger brother Jack Adams, her mother, Myra Jane Adams, father, Jerry McElroy, stepfather, Jack Adams.
Throughout her life, Debbie was known for her strong-minded and independent spirit. She was a loving, teaching, and spoiling presence in her grandchildren's lives, taking them on adventures and exploring their interests. Her ability to love strongly and move mountains in times of
