Linda G. Gilliam, 87, passed on to our Lord Jesus Christ on February 28, 2025, at Riverside Hospital with her children at her side. Born in Dover, Ohio to R. Francis and Nellie Thompson Bear on August 1, 1937, on her brother Richard's 3rd birthday. A graduate of Dover High School in 1955, she received a B.S. degree in nursing from The Ohio State University, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She and husband Dorsey were married December 8, 1959, resulting in a blessed union of 65 years and two wonderful children, Bradley Thomas of Litchfield, Ohio, and Lee Anne of Delaware, Ohio. She was a clinical nurse at OSU, Riverside, and Grant hospitals, and later supported her husband's medical practice at Marion Regional Health as the financial manager.
